We want to take a moment to keep you informed about recent trade announcements that may affect international shipments. Staying ahead of these developments is part of our commitment to supporting your business and helping you prepare for potential changes.
Earlier today, President Trump released several statements on Truth Social announcing new tariffs scheduled to take effect on October 1, 2025.
According to the posts:
Heavy Trucks: A 25% tariff on all imported Heavy (Big) Trucks manufactured outside of the United States.
Kitchen & Furniture Products:
50% tariff on Kitchen Cabinets, Bathroom Vanities, and related products.
30% tariff on Upholstered Furniture.
Pharmaceuticals: A 100% tariff on all branded or patented Pharmaceutical Products, unless the manufacturer is actively building a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in the United States. “Is building” is defined as breaking ground and/or under construction. Companies meeting this condition will not face tariffs on their products.
At this moment, these announcements are the only information available. We have not yet received confirmation from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) or other regulatory agencies regarding:
The specific U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes that will be impacted.
The process for application of these tariffs at entry.
Until further clarification is issued, the exact scope and impact remain uncertain.
We will continue to closely monitor both:
Official sources (CBP, the Federal Register, and related agencies).
Unofficial and industry sources for early signals.
As soon as additional details are published, we will provide updates.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss how these proposed tariffs may affect your supply chain or operations, our compliance team is always available.
We will keep you informed as soon as more information becomes available.
